The resulting gases are also quickly cooled. After cooling, part of gases gets condensed into a liquid fuel called Bio Oil. The non-condensable gases contain Hydrogen, Carbon Monoxide and have a modest heating value. There is an also a solid product, which is called char or biochar, it contains carbon from the biomass along with non-volatile components of the biomass.
