Our Black Rice is sourced from Manipur. It is a glutinous variety of rice which is nutritionally dense. A spoonful of black rice bran contains more health promoting anthocyanin antioxidants than in a spoonful of blueberries, but with less sugar, more fiber and Vitamin E antioxidants. It is also known as “Forbidden Rice” – a name which originated from China as it was served only for Kings & elites, and was forbidden for commoners.
