Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Station | Drive to Darjeeling (95 km/approx. 3 hours)
You will receive assistance on your arrival at the Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Drive to Darjeeling and check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Darjeeling
At dawn, drive to Tiger Hill to see an awe-inspiring view of the Himalayas. Watch the world’s third highest peak, the Kanchandzonga, turn from pink to gold as the sun rises over the mountain range. On your way back, stop by the 135-year-old Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop War Memorial, built in the memory of martyred Gorkha soldiers. After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday). Here you will find original equipment used by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary on their first expedition up the Mount Everest. Also, visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday) and the Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (closed on Thursday). Browse through souvenirs at the local market and Mall Road.
