The Standard Mild Steel BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) Incubator is a laboratory-grade incubator specifically designed to maintain precise temperature conditions for microbial and biochemical oxygen demand testing. Constructed with a durable mild steel exterior, finished with powder coating for corrosion resistance, and an inner chamber made of stainless steel or anodized aluminum, it offers both longevity and ease of cleaning.

The incubator features a microprocessor-based digital temperature controller with a display range typically from 5°C to 60°C, and an accuracy of ±0.5°C. A cooling system using a hermetically sealed compressor allows the unit to maintain low-temperature conditions (usually around 20°C ± 1°C), which are essential for BOD testing. It includes forced air circulation or natural convection for uniform temperature distribution across shelves.

Additional features include double-walled construction, thick insulation for thermal efficiency, adjustable/removable shelves, interior illumination, and locking doors with magnetic gaskets. The unit may also come with a digital timer, audio-visual alarms, and safety cut-offs for over-temperature protection.
