Description- Bold peanuts (also known as Runner groundnuts) are India’s most widely traded export grade, valued for their larger kernel size, high oil content and clean, uniform appearance. With counts such as 38/42, 40/50, 50/60 and 60/70 per ounce, Bold peanuts offer a premium look in roasting and snack applications while delivering a rich, nutty flavour ideal for peanut butter, confectionery and oil crushing.
The kernels typically contain around 44–48% oil and 25–28% protein, making them one of the most energy dense plant based ingredients for both human consumption and edible oil production. Major producing belts such as Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra support round the year availability, with the main crop in the Kharif season and a shorter Rabi crop in irrigated areas.
