Bortezomib Injection

Bortezomib Injection acts as a cancer chemotherapy drug and finds usage for treating certain types of tumors like multiple myeloma by blocking certain proteins that support slowing the growth as well as spread of cancer. As an antineoplastic agent that is available only for intravenous injection (IV) use, each single dose vial contain 3.5 mg of bortezomib as sterile lyophilized powder with inactive ingredient comprising 35 mg mannitol, USP. As modified dipeptidyl boronic acid, it is provided as mannitol boronic ester that in reconstituted form comprises mannitol ester in equilibrium with hydrolysis product comprising monomeric boronic acid.
