Boss Wing Nut

QUICK OVERVIEW

RN® Ground Joints are an all purpose coupling that consists of a Male Stem, Wing nut, and a Female Spud. They are widely used for air, water, or steam and are secured with an interlocking clamp.

Boss Wing Nut couplings are all purpose hose couplings, therefore universally recommended for steam hose connections. Furthermore they are also widely used for air, water, fluid petroleum, chemicals and liquid petroleum gas up to 1″ ID.

Ground joint couplings supply a convenient threaded fitting to connect two lengths of hose, and a single length to a male or female threaded outlet

• The spud part of the coupling serves as one half of the Boss Ground Joint connection therefore it is usually fixed to the equipment. As a result stem part that is clamped to the hose is the other half. The two halves are connected or disconnected by rotating the wing nut on the spud. Finally when connected they achieve both a mechanical, and a pressure seal.

• Easy to seal

• 175 PSI Maximum recommended operating pressure: coupling joint only – not hose retention.

• Use safety clips in holes provided on each coupling. Use steel safety cables to guard against accidental separation of lines.
