Boswellic Acid

As per the ancient texts, Boswellia gum has been used for the treatment of rheumatism, dysentery, diseases of the testes and myriad of other disorders. Today its major use is as an anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain and osteoarthritis.
The quality of the dried and cleaned gum is most critical in the extraction process and in obtaining premium quality extract.
The benefits of boswellia are due to the presence of four triterpene acids, especially Beta boswellic acid. This Boswellia Extract is carefully standardized to contain at least 65% boswellic acids. The derivatives of total Boswellic acid are available from 10% Total Boswellic acid to 90%. There are also value added products such as AKBA (Alpha-Keto-Boswellic Acid) that are much superior in its characteristics.
