A gasket is an essential component in tri-clamp connections, designed for sanitary process providing a liquid and air tight seal. Gaskets are available in different materials ranging from PTFE (Teflon), Buna, EPDM, Viton, Silverback (composite stainless steel and Teflon), and Tefflex (PTFE and EPDM joined). Silverback and Tefflex gaskets are only available upon request. Materials vary in flexibility, temperature rating, permeability, and corrosive resistance.
