Pharm-A-Clear™ PXS-R | Braid Reinforced Peroxide-Cured Silicone Hose
Peroxide-Cured Silicone is advantageous over platinum-cured silicone in some applications because it has superior mechanical properties and is commonly a more economical alternative. Peroxide-cured silicone hose has a higher pressure rating than its platinum-cured counterpart.
Sterilization
Pharm-A-Clear PXS-R is compatible with repeated steam sterilization or autoclave cycles. Although, it is one of the longest lasting products in its class, it will become “gummy” after repeated steam sterilization cycles and should the be replaced.
Fittings
For sanitary connections, we recommend our re-usable EZ Fittings™, which are sized to your exact hose dimensions. The fluid contact surface is constructed of 316 stainless steel, and the crimp collars are available in Kynar® or Delrin®. EZ Fittings™ work extremely well in elevated temperature and pressure conditions.
For less critical applications, a barbed fitting can be used in conjunction with a worm drive or Oetiker® ear clamp. Our engineering team is available to assist with application assistance. Please contact us anytime.
