Braided elastic is manufactured using a composition of materials such as polyester and rubber. Braided elastic is most often used in waistbands, sleeves, necklines and legbands. These elastics are also used in casing. The product becomes narrower when sewn through as the needle pierces the rubber causing loss of stretch and recovery.
