Brass Rods, Bars, flat bars, hex etc., are used because they are not sensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating within the carbide precipitation range of 425 Degree C – 850 Degree C. A restraint with Brass Rods is that titanium doesn’t transmission well all over a soaring temp arc, so is not suggested as a welding replaceable.
