Open the reservoir and remove the oldfilter 2. Flush the replacement filter with tap water about 15 seconds 3. Insert the filter into the reservoir, then carefully line up the groove ofthe filter with the notch of the pitcher  4. Press the filter and ensure a tight seal 5. Fill the reservoir with tap water and discard the first 3 pitchers of water 6. Now the filter is ready to use   Testing : This filter has been tested by themanufacturer against NSFANSI Standard 42   Question: Have the Grand Brita but am notsure what size filter to purchse,are there different ones? Answer: As  far as I know,there are 3type of Brita replacement filters- (1)For on-tap faucet;(2) For Pitcher;(3) For soft squeeze water bottle,theirformshape are very different.For your Grand Brita,(2) is what you need-that iswhat I have been buying for my pitcher too. Question: How well does the filter remove
