BS-3 Blue Sapphire Stone

A real gorgeous unheated sapphire with fine, sought after, "cornflower" blue color. This one weights 1.66 ct., medium-dark, intense, "cornflower" blue, excellent, oval, mixed cut, measures 6.81x6.09x5mm, eye flawless, VVS type2 from the gem fields of Nivitigala, Sri Lanka. We did not have time to certify this one during our last trip to Sri Lanka, but we purchased the rough and had it cut as per our specifications.
