Contact SupplierBubinga is an African hardwood that is reasonably workable, however gluing can be difficult. White sapwood that is clearly separated from the heartwood, which is reddish brown with dark distinct streaks. The tree can grow up to 45m and has a diameter of between 100 and 200cm and is difficult to kiln dry. May have an unpleasant odor when wet, disappears after drying.
Bubinga is used for furniture, clothing and table tops. Bubinga is on the CITES list and cannot be immediately imported without a permit.
