The tree grows to a height of 25-30 feet and has a pendulous, dense, low-branching and multitrunked spread, measuring about 15 to 20 feet in width. A weeping effect is created by narrow, 3 to 4 inches long, light green leaves, which grow exclusively on the edges of long and hanging branches. Inflorescence is bright-scarlet in color, and is cylindrical and about one inch wide in shape, with long, bristle-shaped stamens. Flowers are red in colour. Leaves are alternate, simple, entire margin, lanceolate and linear shape, parlel leaf venation. Leaves are evergreen. The plant is highly drought tolerant. And grows in full sun.it is used as ornamental tree. Callistemon viminalis seed capsules are placed close to the branches, and release the seeds in about one year. The tree prefers moist and well-drained soil and require full sunlight for growth. Callistemon viminalis is very popular for its ornamental value, and is used for decorative plantations across lawns and parking lots.
