Cam Followers

The term “cam follower” is a generic term for the various elements that are moved directly by the cam lobe. They follow the cam lift and transmit the motion to the downstream valve components. Cam followers include tappets, buckets, and levers in a wide range of designs.
MAHLE develops and produces ready-to-assemble modules for commercial vehicle engines. MAHLE is able to build on many years of experience. By integrating the camshaft bearing, including the rocker arms and rocker arm bearings, the so-called rocker arm assembly is constructed. These MAHLE assemblies offer clear advantages with respect to development effort and logistics, and simplify the complete assembly of the cylinder head and engine.
