(Cinnamomum camphora) – Camphor oil is extracted by steam distillation from the chipped wood, root stumps and branches. It is then rectified under vacuum and filter pressed. It is native to China. The oil is almost colorless and has a strong camphorous odor. It is used in pain balms, pharmaceuticals and aromatherapy in a very small concentration.
