Caproic Acid

Caproic acid, also known as hexanoic acid, is a medium-chain fatty acid with a six-carbon chain. It is a colorless, oily liquid with a pungent, goat-like odor. Naturally found in various animal and plant sources like milk and coconut oil, it is also used in the production of esters for flavors and fragrances, as well as in the manufacture of food additives, lubricants, and pharmaceuticals.
