Malabar Carbons Pvt. Ltd. (MCPL) began operations in the year 1986 at its modern plant in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand in East India. Using latest technologies & machinery imported from Germany & United Kingdom, MCPL began manufacturing & supplying high quality carbon brushes, for various applications to Tata Steel. Owing to the superior quality and affordability of our products, MCPL was invited to other Tata units like Tata Motors, Tata Tinplate & ISWP and by the year 2000 we were the main supplier of carbon brushes to all Tata units in East India including the their iron ore mines.
In the year 2001 we were approached by several ACC cement plants across the country and are now meeting the carbon brush requirements of almost all the ACC plants across the country. Today our products are used in leading Iron & Steel Plants, Power Plants, Paper Mills, Boiler Manufacturers, Automobile Plants & Cement Plants across the country & abroad.
Our products are made using indigenous & imported material and are used for the following applications-
Stationery DC & AC Motors in all branches of industry such as coal mines, iron & steel plants, cement plants, paper mills etc.
Slipring Motors
Traction motors and auxiliary machines for locomotives, rail cars & electrically propelled vehicles
FHP motors for domestic appliances & power tools
Automobile starters, dynamo & screen wipers
Power plant exciters, sliprings & generators
Carbon contacts as current collectors for railways, trams, trolleys, buses, overhead cranes & lifts
