Sodium Hydroxide, formula is NaOH, it is also called Caustic Soda. Sodium Hydroxide is a kind of alkali which has strong corrosivity. Normally it has flakes, pearls and solid shape, easily soluble in water (heating when soluble in water) and becomes alkaline solution. Moreover, Sodium Hydroxide can easily absorb vapour in the air and carbone dioxide.

NaOH is one of the necessary chemicals in laboratory, as well as the common chemical product. The pure Caustic Soda is white crystal, density 2.130g/cm³, melting point 318.4ºC, boiling point 1390ºC.Industrial Caustic Soda includes contains small amount of NaCl and Na2CO3.
