network cctv cameras are specific digital video cameras which include an embedded video server which have its own ip address that allows it to stream the videos and sometimes even audio.
As network cctv cameras are embedded devices which do not require outputting an analogue signal, thus the resolutions they provide are higher than cctv analogue cameras. The standard cctv analogue cameras include ntsc (720 × 480 pixels) or pal (768 × 576 pixels) resolution, whereas a network cctv camera may has svga (800 × 600 pixels), quad-vga (1280×960 pixels or vga (640 × 480 pixels) resolutions. Network cameras provide very cheap surveillance solutions as they require a network camera, ethernet cabling, and one personal computer.
