    CD4049/HCF4049 is a Hex Inverter (NOT gate) IC based in the CMOS technology. That is the IC has six NOT gates inside it and each gate has one input and one output pin. All six NOT gates are power with a common rail, but can operate independently. It is commonly used in buffer circuits and wave generator circuits. The CD4049 IC specification of the IC is given below
