Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ Telescope with 130 Mm Aperture

Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ Telescope – Your Gateway To The Stars

The Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ is a powerful manual reflector telescope designed for astronomy enthusiasts who want serious stargazing performance at an accessible level. Whether you’re a beginner looking to explore the craters of the Moon, or a hobbyist wanting to glimpse Jupiter’s moons or Saturn’s rings, this telescope delivers sharp, high-contrast views with minimal setup. With its large 130mm aperture, sturdy German equatorial mount, and coated optics, the AstroMaster 130 EQ strikes the perfect balance between user-friendliness and performance. It’s an ideal entry into deep space and planetary observation, packed with features typically found in more advanced models.

Key Features: Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ Telescope

1. 130mm Newtonian Reflector for Bright, Deep-Sky Viewing
At the heart of the AstroMaster 130 EQ is its 130mm aperture Newtonian reflector, which captures significantly more light than smaller beginner telescopes. This allows for bright, detailed views of deep-sky objects like nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters, along with crisp views of planets and the Moon. It’s a solid step up from entry-level scopes and delivers impressive optical power without becoming overwhelming for newer users.

2. Sturdy German Equatorial Mount with Slow Motion Controls
The included equatorial mount is designed for astronomy. With its built-in slow-motion control knobs, you can precisely track celestial objects as they move across the sky. It mimics the rotation of the Earth, making it easier to follow stars and planets during long observation sessions. Whether you’re observing or sketching, this mount ensures smooth and accurate motion—essential for deep-sky tracking.

3. Fully Coated Glass Optics for Clear, Crisp Images
All optical elements are coated with high-transmission coatings, which improve light throughput and reduce internal reflections. This means you’ll see sharper images with better contrast, especially when observing faint objects like Saturn’s rings, Jupiter’s bands, or distant star fields. The optical clarity rivals more expensive models, offering excellent value for both visual astronomy and entry-level astrophotography.

4. Comes with Two Eyepieces and a Red Dot Finder
The telescope comes ready to observe right out of the box with two eyepieces (20mm and 10mm), giving you low and high magnification options. The StarPointer red dot finderscope helps you align your telescope to your target quickly and easily, even if you’re just starting out. Switching between wide-angle views and close-up planetary details is smooth and hassle-free, thanks to the included accessories.

5. Strong Steel Tripod with Accessory Tray for Stability
A solid telescope needs a solid foundation, and the AstroMaster doesn’t disappoint. It includes a pre-assembled steel tripod that offers excellent stability during use. The built-in accessory tray provides space to store extra eyepieces, your phone, or notes while observing. The overall setup is both sturdy and portable, suitable for backyard sessions or trips to dark-sky locations.
