Chamomile Essential Oil

Chamomile oil is extracted by steam distillation of the flowering heads of Matricaria chamomilla L., organiclly in ow lands of Nepal.
Characteristics

• Appearance - A viscous qumd
• Color - Dark greenish blue
• Aroma - Intensely sweet, herbaceous with fresh-fruity undertone

Active constituents : Major constituents are chamazulene, a-bisabolol, (E)-B-farnesene, bisabolol oxide-A, a-farnesene, bisabolol oxide-B, germacrene D, trans B-ocimene, B-elernene, B-caryophyllene, aromadendrene, B-selinene, bicyclogermacrene, a-amorphene, B-cadinene, spathunle- nol, cyclohexene, 6-cadinene, bisabolol oxide, chamazumene
Uses :

• Used in aromatherapy.
• Used in cosmetics, soaps, detergents, high-class perfumes, hair and bath products.
• Employed as a flavor ingredient in food items, alcoholic and soft drinks.
