Chardham Yatra

Numerous Hindu temples may be found in Uttarakhand, earning it the nickname "Devbhoomi," or "Land of the Gods." There are several pilgrimage routes in Uttarakhand, but the Char Dham Yatra stands out among them all. This Yatra, or pilgrimage, takes devotees to four different sacred locations in the Himalayas: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The word for "four" in Hindi is "char," while the word for "dham" signifies "religious sites." Shrine visitors may only access these locations during the brief summer months (April/May) and fall/winter months (October/November) (October or November). It is recommended that the Char Dham Yatra be completed in a clockwise manner. As a result, the journey begins in Yamunotri, continues to Gangotri and Kedarnath, and concludes at Badrinath. Transportation options include driving and flying to reach the destination (helicopter services are available)
