Vulcanized forms of chlorosulfonated polyethylene are highly resistant to the deteriorating effects of ozone, oxygen, weather, heat, oil and chemicals. They resist discoloration on exposure to light, and are widely used in light- colored products. CSM can be compounded to provide excellent mechanical properties. (Ex: high tensile strength and abrasion resistance)
