Cisplatin was the first member of a class of anticancer drugs, which now include carboplatin (sc-202093) and oxaliplatin (sc-202270) that form dna adducts resulting in apoptosis; however, these molecules also bind other biological molecules such as enzymes which might play a role in their mechanism of action.
