Clay Aggregate

Our Clay Aggregate-Hydro-Sol is produced by firing natural clay at temperature 1200°C. This process forms hard, honeycomb structure of interconnecting voids within the aggregate.
Depending upon the final application of the product is offered in Pebble and Crystal form.
Size of Pebble: 12-18 mm average
Size of Crystal: 5-10 mm average
Large 5 to 18 mm average size allows for maximum oxygen to the roots while providing a stable base for plant roots grown in active hydroponic systems or passive hydro culture applications.
Capillary action on the surface allows it to absorb 40% of its weight in water and also allows for efficient evaporation to help maintain a constant humidity level.
This versatile product has hundreds of tiny pores that retain moisture and maintain soil temperature.
Hydro-Sol holds water extremely well and transmits it effectively to the plant roots.
Hydro-Sol is extremely light weight, strong and thermally insulating material.
Hydro-Sol is a better replacement for coco peat and conventional soil.
