Coarse Aggregate

Crushed stone is created through the mining and crushing of rock. The rock is crushed into several different graded sizes for use in applications including ready mix concrete, asphalt and decorative stone. Gravel is created by river erosion, resulting in smooth and rounded products. Finished products can be either smooth and rounded or crushed, to meet the specific job requirements. Capitol sells gravel at the Austin River Sand and Gravel, Medina River Sand and Gravel, and Hoban Sand and Gravel plants. Capitol produces crushed stone at its Delta Materials Quarry.
