COF tester –horizontal plane have a Sled of specified dimensions with a suitable eye screw fastened in one end for the holding to the load cell by a flexible nylon thread.
There is a moving plane which is polished plastic, of specified dimensions. A smooth, flat piece of glass covers the upper surface of the plane. This provides a smooth support for the specimen. The plane moved with the help of the motor.
The force is indicating on the digital display which indicates the frictional force.
All the parts are either painted or bright chrome platted for the corrosion resistance long life.
