Introduction

Coir or Cocopeat Compost is the compost made from Cocopeat (Powder generated from coconut huk). The compost has all the properties of compost.  Cocopeat is generally used as a grow media in horticulture. When converted into compost its C:N ration decreases, reduces its lignin and cellulose content.  Thus it makes the plant nutirtions  available to the plants. It has all the benifits of a regular compost such as it increases soil porosity and water holding capacity, helps root growth. It also Increases Ammonification, nitrification and nitrogen fixation.
