Selected grades of SDNR CF Expanded Vermiculite mixed with suitable binders are casted / moulded into any shape. The shaped bricks are SDNR CF conforming to IS-2042 for cold face insulation bricks.

Advantages :

Its light weight has high porosity, low thermal conductivity, and nil shrinkage.
Does not crumble while sawing or chipping.
Transit breakages almost Nil.
Does not react with gases. Resistant to both, hot and cold thermal shocks.
It is 30 times more cooling than bricks and 45 times more effective than concrete in insulation value.
Can be used in direct contact with flame without fire bricks up to 600 deg C.
More economical than many of the available insulation bricks and comparable to calcium Silicate based products.

Uses : In furnace walls, kilns, chimneys, flues and buck stays, boilers in Thermal Power Stations, Cold Storage walls, hot gases beds in coke oven batteries of steel plants. Etc.
