Product Theory:
Natural or cultured pearl is of spherical sandwich structure, alternatively wrapped by pearl nuclei of calcium carbonate and proteid. Smooth surface of the crystal reflects and refracts rays, which bring dazzling pearlescent luster.
According to the mechanism of natural pearl pearl pigments is produced by using mica wafer as substate which is firmly coated with a layer or multilayer accurately contolled metal oxides film through nanotechnology and hydrolysis reaction.
Crystals of pearl pigments reflects and refracts rays, most of which form pearl luster through multiple parallel reflection, the other part of rays penetrate the transparent crystals, and the color of transmission rays is the complementary color of reflex. The mica flake is wrapped with Titania of high refractive index. Pearlescent effect of different color phases like silver white, gold, red, purple, blue, green and so on are produced through precisely controlling the thickness of the flake.
Through accurately controlling the thickness of coating layer, we can get various pearlescent effect.
Characteristics:
1)They are calcined at 800°C and have excellent chemcial stability;
2)It can bring out the widest spectral purpose by blending the pigments
with other transparent dyes or pigments;
3)Avoid using the pigments with other opaque pigments.
