Contact SupplierCompression set tests is intended to measure the ability of rubber compounds to retain elastic properties after prolonged action of a known compressive stress under static loading.
The TBG compressive set apparatus for determination of compression set characteristics under constant stress consists of a calibrating spring, a set of carob steel ground and chromium plated plates and a screw arrangement to compress the spring. The apparatus is assembled over a rigid metallic base.
The test specimens are kept between parallel plates and the load applied by compressing the spring. Load acting on the test specimen can be read from a graph which gives the values of load against spring deflections which is indicated by a pointer on a scale fixed to the tester.
The apparatus is finished in metallic painting and bright chrome plating to give it a corrosion resistant finish. Cutting die for obtaining test specimens and thidness gauge for checking the thickness of the specimen are available as optional accessories.
