These heat exchangers are identical to outdoor condensers with the addition of the compressor being outdoors rather than inside the evaporator. Condensing units are availabe in 3 to 100 ton capacities. Single compressor units range from 3 to 50 ton while dual compressor units range from 6 to 100 ton capacity. Like condensers, condensing units have aluminum housing, aluminum finned copper tube coils, powder coared fans guards, energy efficient thermally protected direct drive motors with a variable fan speed control on the lead fan motor for proper control down to -20 F. Additional fan motors are controlled with ambient thermostats.
