Constant Voltage Transformer, Phase : Single Phase

A Transformer is a device that can change AC voltage andor provide ISOLATION. A transformer that changes an AC voltage is called a step-down or step-up transformer depending on whether the output voltage is lower or higher than the input voltage. When a transformer steps-down voltage, it steps-up current in precisely the same ratio, thereby conserving the product of voltage and current, which is POWER. Transformers which have an electrical connection between the input and output voltages are called auto-transformers. Transformers with no power connection between input and output are called ISOLATION transformers.
