construction grade bentonite is bentonite used in civil engineering applications and is traditionally used as a thixotropic, support and lubricant agent in diaphragm walls and foundations, in tunnelling, in horizontal directional drilling (hdd) and pipe jacking.

bentonite, due to its viscosity and plasticity, is also used in portland cement and mortars.

nav-gel is high quality sodium activated bentonite clay, designed to meet the requirements of horizontal directional drilling applications and other civil engineering applications which require high rheological properties.

the high montmorillonite content of  bentonite powder gives high swelling value with extreme thermal stability. due to high montmorillonite active content it reduces the additions of bentonite and can maintain active clay level.
