Automatic Backwash Self Cleaning Screen Filters: For side-stream-filtration of circulating cooling water--to keep suspended TSS (Total Suspended Solids) in control. Airborne solids get into cooling towers with the atmospheric air and get trapped in cooling water during scrubbing. After part of these solids settle in the basin, rest gets into circulation and deposit on heat-exchanger tubes/plates & cooling tower internals, affecting their heat transfer efficiency. This affects the prime equipment performance, like power consumption in chillers, steam-to-power ratio in condensing turbine based thermal power plants.
