Corn Distiller’s Dried Grains with Soluble (DDGS) represents the dried residue left after the fermentation of the starch fraction in maize with yeasts to produce ethanol. Post-fermentation, distillation removes the ethanol, and the residual fermentation byproducts undergo drying.

Corn DDGS is a valuable feed ingredient, characterized by its richness in protein and moderate fat content. Suitable for all classes of livestock, it comprises approximately 85% of the energy value found in corn.

Notably, Corn DDGS proves to be a more efficient ingredient than maize grain in the diets of cattle, poultry, and fish. Furthermore, its inclusion has demonstrated a reduction in methane production from enteric fermentation when substituted for traditional feed components.
