Corrugated Plastic Boxes

Since 1971, Melmat, Inc. has been a respected supplier of protective containers and carrying cases; Kudl-Pak® and SpaceCase™ are proprietary product lines. Now Melmat, Inc. is fabricating and converting corrugated plastic sheet. Lightweight, yet strong, a great combination for your next container or packaging requirement. Corrugated Plastic is a reusable material that is attractive, durable and cost effective. In addition to stockstandard products, we welcome design challenges to help you create a unique item.
Corrugated plastic is an extruded material similar in appearance to corrugated paper. Both upper and lower surfaces are supported by fluted ribs. Several thicknesses are available, from light pliable sheet to heavy duty stiff "boards".
The material is available in polypropylene. Melmat, Inc. stocks only polypropylene because it is preferred for most applications. Thicknesses available are from 2mm to 10mm.
The stock material is treated for UV resistance; flame retardant, anti-static and conductive sheet are available. The sheet is corona treated, which provides an excellent surface for screen printing and other decoration methods.
Fluted plastic sheet offers several advantages over corrugated paper, solid plastic sheet, and other sheet materials. It is light weight, yet tough and abrasion resistant. Polypropylene has excellent chemical resistance and is unaffected by water.
Melmat, Inc. offers the converting methods of die cutting, scoring and ultra-sonic welding.
There are many standard products made from fluted plastic, but uses are limited only by the imagination of the designer.
