Cottonseed hulls are the outer coverings of cotton seeds, and the by-products of the dehulling necessary for cottonseed oil extraction. After removing the lint, the hulls are separated from the kernel by screening. Cottonseed hulls are a fibrous product, primarily used to feed ruminants. Cottonseed hulls are fed as a bulk feed, or pelleted.
Cottonseed hulls are one of the best roughages used to add bulk to diets rich in protein and energy, in order to reduce digestive upsets in ruminants. Cottonseed hulls are a valuable substrate for mushroom cultivation and the spent substrate can be fed to livestock. Cottonseed hulls also have numerous industrial uses such as plastic manufacture, oil drilling (mud additive) and furfural production.
Cottonseed hulls represent almost 27% of the cottonseed.
Cottonseed Hulls are excellent roughages and have strong application in cleaning of oil pipelines and is also found to be favored fertilizer for Mushrooms.
    Cottonseed Meal
Cottonseed meal is the by-product of oil extraction from cotton seeds. As a protein-rich feed, cottonseed meal is a common source of protein for ruminants, notably in cotton-producing areas such as India, China and the USA, where it is used as a partial substitute for soybean meal.
Cottonseed Meal  is an excellent source of slow-release nitrogen, phosphorus, potash and numerous trace elements. Because it breaks down over time, this popular fertilizer promotes long-lasting growth, beauty and productivity of turf grasses, ornamental plants and vegetable gardens.
Cottonseed Meal will also acidify the soil, which makes it perfect for use with acid-loving plants such as blueberries, gardenia, azalea and rhododendron.
    Features:

    • Ideal for blueberries, gardenia, azalea and rhododendron
    • Slow release source of nutrients from a plant source
    • High in trace elements
    • Will NOT burn plants
    • Derived from shelled cotton seeds
    • Cottonseed oil

The seed oil extracted from the kernels, after being refined, serves as a good edible and nutritious food. It can be used as a cooking oil or in salad dressings. It is also used in the production of shortening and margarine.

The fine quality oil extracted from cottonseed during the extraction process is also used in cosmetics, such as moisturizing lotions and bath soaps.
