Salius Pharma introduced the launch of a new product CROHIST-MK KID (Levocetirizine HCl & Montelukast Sodium Syrup) to treat both seasonal and perennial allergies and in the management of chronic asthma.
CROHIST-MK KID Syrup(Levocetirizine HCl & Montelukast Sodium Syrup) is a combination formulation which contains the generic medications Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 2.5mg and Montelukast sodium 4mg per 5ml where Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride is an Anti-Histamine and Montelukast Sodium is an Anti-Asthmatic agent.
CROHIST-MK KID is used in children of 2-12 years of age. In children of 2-5 years of age, thirst was the common side effect and in children of 6-14 years of age, headache was common. Patients those who are hypersensitive to Montelukast, Levocetirizine or to any other Piperazine derivatives, patients with blood dyscriasis and psychiatric disorders are not supposed to take this medication. Theophylline, warfarin, thyroid hormones should be avoided during the intake of CROHIST-MK KID.
Recommended dose:
For the children of 2-5 years - 2.5 ml is given once daily in the evening.
For the children of 6-11 years- 5 ml is given once daily in the evening.
For the children of 12 years & above -10 ml is given once daily in the evening.
