Introduction

CTJOY-TRIO Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination of medicines that helps to control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. It also helps to reduce chances of future heart attack and stroke. This medicine should be used along with a proper diet, salt restriction, and regular exercise for best results. It should be taken in the morning with food to avoid frequent urination at night. This medicine may cause dehydration, so it is better to take plenty of fluids. Inform doctor if you develop extreme thirst or muscle weakness. Some patients may develop swelling of ankle as a side effect of using this medicine. It may also produce dizziness initially, but this improves with time.

How to Use Ctjoy-Trio Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CTJOY-TRIO  Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Ctjoy-Trio Tablet Works

CTJOY-TRIO Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Telmisartan, cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Pregnancy

CTJOY-TRIO  Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

CTJOY-TRIO  Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE

CTJOY-TRIO  Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

CTJOY-TRIO  Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney

CAUTION

CTJOY-TRIO  Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of CTJOY-TRIO Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of CTJOY-TRIO Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

Liver

CAUTION

• CTJOY-TRIO Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of CTJOY-TRIO Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
• Use of CTJOY-TRIO Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
