Contact SupplierCultivation tines may be used for primary land preparation, secondary cultivation (harrowing) and weeding. as well as in previous centuries, cultivators have often been designed as multipurpose implements, capable of being used in various configurations and with a range of different tines. For weeding purposes large triangular sweeps up to 500mm wide may be used, which have a similar effect to an Indian blade harrow. More common are intermediate triangular duckfoot points which are about 150 mm wide. For primary tillage and harrowing, as well as some weeding operations, narrower 50 mm points are more usual. Such points are often designed to be reversed when worn, to allow further usage. For primary tillage the effect of each point is similar to that of a small ard prow, although the working width and depth are much smaller.
