CUSTOM INJECTION MOLDING OF A CUSTOM COLOR POLYPROPYLENE TOY COMPONENT

A toy industry customer contracted us to produce this custom injection molded polypropylene component. The customer supplied drawing called out for finished texture of SPI D-3, and the use of a custom color for the polypropylene to be used. We provided the color matching for the Pantone Cool Gray 7C that the part required. Manufactured to tolerances of ± 0.005", the part featured dimensions of 2.300" in length, an outside diameter of 1.681", and a volume of 1.45 cubic inches. Quality control was provided by regular fit testing and verification of critical dimensions throughout the run.
