The screw has a drill bit point that remove separate drilling and tapping operations for faster more economical installations. Self-drilling screws are designed for convenience and requires only a screw gun to fix them in place instead of using a drill to start a hole. It is important to consider the material, thickness and type of materials to be joined while selecting a self-drilling screw design. Our self-drilling screws are available in a variety of head styles, thread lengths and drill flute lengths for screw diameters thru 5/16"-18. These are used extensively to attach exterior steel or metal cladding to steel frame structures and roofing constructions.
