We are offering cAll wet and dry Cylinder Liners are made by centrifugal casting. Air cooled Cylinder Liners are made by Shell molding.
Foundry: Current capacity is one million Kg per annum/250,000 nos. Cylinder Liners per annum.
Raw Material: Finest foundry grade scrap from ship yard and Pig Iron from Kirloskar Company is used for manufacture of Cylinder Liners. For proper chemistry, microstructure, physical properties and hardness re-melting of machined chips is strictly avoided.
Melting: Done by Induction furnace with on line spectrometer for correct percentage of alloying elements. Use of alloys like Copper, Molybdenum, Nickel and Chromium is used as demanded by application.ylinder liners.
Machine Shop facilities:
Present capacity of machine shop is 250,000 Cylinder Liners per year.
Cylinder Liners are made using conventional and Special Purpose machines. Final operations on outer profile is done on CNC. Fully finished Cylinder Liners are honed on plateau machines for accuracy of ovality/taper and required “Ra” value of surface finish.
Inspection: Done at incoming raw material level, casting level for chemical, physical and microstructure analysis, Statistical size inspection on machined product, 100% checking of bore size parameter and visual inspection.
