Dapping Block Brass

Dapping blocks are used to form metal into a dome shape. Any soft bendable metal or material can be used. The dapping block is used in conjunction with a dapping punch, sold separately. Simply put the item to be formed into the appropriately sized dapping indent. Tap on the dapping punch with a hammer until you have the shape you desire. Note: it can be helpful to perform other operations, such as hole drilling, cutting, or engraving prior to dapping.
