Darunavir is a drug used to treat HIV/AIDS and belongs to the protease inhibitor class. It inhibits HIV replication by blocking the cleavage of viral precursor proteins, thus preventing HIV replication. It is a non-peptide antiretroviral protease inhibitor that inhibits viral replication by binding to the catalytic site of the HIV protease.
